After a long hiatus of uploading videos thanks to the unexpected shut down of the Stage6 site, I have weighed the options and have chosen to rely on the new website Veoh.com. Much like Stage6, Veoh offers the ability to upload any length of video (which is obviously key to my needs), it doesn't kill the quality with over compression (however nothing will beat Stage6's quality), it offers the option to download the videos, and has a few other interesting things to toy with.

I've provided a simple step-by-step instructional guide in order to get yourself better acquainted with the site .

In order to find my videos, type "eattapes" in the search engine. Make sure "Channels" is selected.

You should receive one and only result, my channel! Imagine that. Click on the logo and prepare to be whisked away to my page.

Feel free to bookmark this page since this is where you will see all of the videos as they are updated.
If you look at the "Videos in this Channel" box, there is where you will see the new videos as they are added. If you click on the number inside the red circle, you will be directed to an easier to navigate page containing all of my videos that I have uploaded.
Next, notice that this screenshot was taken while the video was playing. If you look at the yellow circle, you see that the video is only 5 minutes long. Unfortunately, Veoh doesn't allow big files to be streamed directly from their website - you can only see them on their application VeohTV. Thus, in order to view my videos, you will need to watch them on the VeohTV program. You can easily do that by click on the "Watch All on VeohTV" link in the blue circle.

Now, when I click on that link I receive this error message:

I looked on the forums and couldn't really find any answers or too many other people who had this problem so hopefully it won't affect anyone else but if it does, don't fear and continue on.

Obviously, to use VeohTV, you have to download it. Looking at the homepage, at the bottom right hand corner, you can find the link for more information on VeohTV such as how to download it and use the program. Look to that guide for an in-depth exploration of the application.

Once in VeohTV, if you experienced my error message, or if you simply want to search for one of my videos this way, you will need to click on the Search tab at the top. Enter the band name you wish to search and hit enter. You will be given results for videos on Veoh, Google, and Yahoo. Obviously, you will want to look in the Veoh column. Also I can't seem to search by videos with their full title (this example being, "Explosions in the Sky Live @ Starlight Ballroom - Philadelphia, PA [04.09.08]") so you will have to search strictly by the band and sift through some other results.

Once you find the video you have a few options available to yourself. You can click on it and simply view the video streamed through VeohTV (notice that now the length is the full 1 hour and 17 minutes), or you can download the video and start to build your own video library in the Library section of VeohTV.

As you can see, Veoh is a bit more complicated than the easy and straightforward navigation of Stage6 but it is the best we have right now and I apologize for that. I hope you are able to continue to enjoy my videos regardless. If you have any major problems using Veoh, I suggest looking at their helpful forums rather than ask me since I only have limited knowledge of the site and its workings.
