Every month I will be posting a new video featuring a performance I felt was worth showcasing.
The performance doesn't necessarily come from that month, it could be from any point in my archive.
Under the video I will provide a quick write-up of the band/show and will provide links for more information.

If you can't view this video download the free Divx Web Player for Windows or Mac.
(I promise it is trustworthy and virus-free.)

TThere is not a lot of information online about singer/songwriter Wheatie Mattiasich. I haven't heard of her prior to her opening performance but when I saw her I was blown away. Her soft voice carries the simple, child-like songs with a beautiful grace. There isn't a single song in her set that bored me or I thought she could have left out. I hope you enjoy this lady. She has a lot of her songs online between her MySpace and PureVolume so I suggest checking them out or offering to buy a CD from her for $5.

James Blackshaw is a young guitarist who plays 12 string guitar and composes beautifully compelling music. He draws you in and keeps your attention as he flows seamlessly form one theme to the next. This particular performance of his I found to be exceptionally wonderful and I fell in love with his music all over again after I had heard it. If I were to introduce someone to the genre he would probably be the number one man I'd recommend.
